Open Custom and review the eligibility and cost shown for your account. A first-character offer may be available; additional custom characters cost 500 Moments. An introductory offer is not a promise that a Free account can use every paid creation action.
Free custom-character chat also has a separate cap of 100 messages total. Do not read that as 100 each day or as an extra daily allowance alongside ordinary Free chat. Check the current access notice before planning a long conversation around the offer.
Build an original adult identity
Choose realistic or anime styling, then work through appearance, voice, name, location and age. Ages must be 18-99. We do not permit characters based on real people, including celebrities and private individuals. Changing a real person's name is not enough.
- Begin a character in Custom and select its visual style.
- Set the physical details, voice and fictional adult identity.
- Add personality and background that fit the identity.
- Review the preview and charge before completing the creation.
Explain how the personality shows up
Try a fictional ferry dispatcher who insists on punctuality but collects stories from delayed passengers. That gives the character an interest, a conversational habit and a possible story. A handful of compatible details gives you more to work with than a list of contradictory superlatives.
For the first exchange, ask how they would handle a fog-delayed departure when the passengers want an explanation. See how the personality comes through without prescribing every answer ahead of time.
After creation, use Character Studio for supported changes. Editing an existing personality requires Ultimate; writing the initial personality is part of setup. Public updates use a private draft and approval process, rather than appearing immediately.
Read which version an edit affects when the character appears in other chats. Also distinguish the companion from the role you play: changing your own persona does not redesign the character answering you.
Common questions
Can my custom character have an anime style?
Yes. Choose anime during the appearance setup, then inspect how the remaining visual choices look in the preview.
Is later personality editing included with every plan?
No. Editing a saved custom personality requires Ultimate. Initial personality setup is a separate part of creation, and public changes require approval.
Could I use a celebrity as the character?
No. Public figures and private individuals are both covered by the real-person restriction. Design an original fictional adult.
What should I expect to pay for another character?
