Give the identity a few lasting details
Open Personas and create the role. Use the backstory for who they are and Preferences or Rules for how you want the interaction handled. A fictional board-game illustrator might enjoy drawing maps, avoid formal events and prefer straightforward dialogue. Those details can introduce them in different situations.
A promise made during one adventure belongs with that conversation's continuity, rather than becoming a permanent fact of every role. Keep the persona focused on identity so you can see what needs changing when you begin another story.
You can use an invented adult identity instead of personal information. A saved persona is not an anonymity setting or a change to our data-processing terms.
Check the active role before replying
One persona can be active in a conversation. Another thread can use a different one, so confirm the selection when moving between stories. A role chosen for one setting should not be assumed to explain every other character you play.
Switching affects future context. Earlier messages remain as written, and saved story memories do not reset. If previous events no longer fit, review the relevant history or continuity instead of expecting a persona change to remove them.
Editing and switching persona text does not spend Moments. Appearance generation is separate from those text controls, including when the new picture represents an identity you already saved.
Add a visual identity for supported pictures
Ultimate also includes persona photos as a feature. Choose an original fictional adult appearance, review the generated options and save the photo you want. Check the charge and any eligible first-appearance offer before submitting; the feature does not make every image free.
Supported image tools can include your saved persona visually. They do not turn it into a companion you can chat with. Studio group images allow three people altogether, counting the persona. With two companions and your role, describe who is beside the window and who is at the worktable so the positions are clear.
Common questions
Which subscription includes saved personas?
Ultimate includes personas and persona photos. Custom companions are a different feature: a persona defines your identity, not the character replying.
May I choose another role in a different conversation?
Yes. Select the active persona for each chat, with one active at a time within that conversation.
Will switching fix or erase the earlier storyline?
No. It changes future context, not earlier messages or saved events. Review continuity separately when the story needs changing.
Are photos included because persona text changes are free?
No. Text edits and switching do not spend Moments, but appearance generation and later photos have their own displayed charges or eligible offers.
